The food as usual was awesome, the wind choice was excellent or at least very good, the wait staff was wonderful and our waiter was great. I will be back! Best Steak in South Windsor

Not only was the view absolutely beautiful, our server Carl was outstanding. The food and custom drinks were also very good. I would highly recommend this place especially for a romantic night out. Love the food selections, the big round table, the smooth jazz music, the awesome service team and overall location. Older, well established restaurant that always comes through on many levels. The only little hiccup was with the on-line reservation. It gave me an 11a. I thought maybe they were extending hours for the holidays, but it was actually a mix-up with the on-line reservation service, but they let us come in early and seamlessly treated the occurrence as business as usual. They escorted us to the lounge while we waited for our table. It was very nice. We were seated quickly. The dining room was very tight and you are sitting very close to others. The food was very good. We ordered the Salmon, Oxtail, and Catfish. We would all order it again. I had a glass of Rosè and it was very nice. I would definitely return. It was what French cuisine should be: decadent, flavorful and delicious. We started with the oysters. We typically prefer west coast oysters, but we actually enjoyed the east coast ones more this time. The flavors were exquisite, and it was served with a variety of seafood scallops, king crab, shrimp, etc. The waiter was wonderful. He definitely knew the menu and made recommendations as well as giving a bit of an education on various items during our meal. I also loved the ambiance, from the lighting to the artwork; it was stylish and classy without being stuffy. I ordered the Brick Chicken, and my boyfriend ordered the Cobia parmesan risotto, oyster mushroom, edamame, pearl onion petals, beurre rouge , but he swapped in the Salmon instead. He also ordered an Old Fashioned, which is a staple cocktail at any bar but they made it well. We will be back again. By the time he finished naming and explaining our choices, we forgot most of the choices. I would blame our age but I think even in my 20's I would have had the same problem. Two of us had the exact same problem, as we were listening, we remembered that there was something that sounded good that he mentioned before the Tiramisu, which was maybe the 3rd on the list of many. Of course, he offered to repeat it all, but we just wanted to know what was right before the Tiramisu, it was the Creme Brulee. If desserts change often, then just having it on a page that is included with the regular menu would be a wonderful addition. The menu had changed and the prices were a bit higher, which was disappointing. We had very good service. I only wish the server had asked me for my Brio rewards card because I forgot on my own and I had a coupon I was planning to use. I can only afford to go to Brio a couple times a year with their prices. She was very efficient, allowed us to linger. Food served prmptly, meals were hot. Loved the atmosphere for celebrating a pre-Christmas get together with friends. Perfect location for our party to have conversation and see all the beautiful decor. Server was not very attentive, left dirty dishes on the table for a long time, did not ask if we wanted dessert just abruptly left menus. We love this restaurant and have had much more attentive service in the pasto hope this was a fluke. Our family has dined here for brunch, dinner, and most recently a special occasion I hosted for my niece, a bridal shower. The staff is personable and professional, and remembers their guests the way a local neighborhood haunt should. The menu is fresh, locally sourced, palatability scrumptious, and there is something for everyone. After having several great meals at the Chapman House I decided to host my special event there. Geoffrey Dancik, the owner, personally made sure everything was perfect for my niece's big day. Chef Chris put together a fabulous menu and everything from the ambiance to our service, could not have been better. The Chapman House is a Chic establishment with a fun venue, and surprisingly affordable. Truly, Rochester's best kept secret. The food as usual was awesome, the wind choice was excellent or at least very good, the wait staff was wonderful and our waiter was great. And that was a different Ruth Chris restaurant. But that restaurant fixed it! Love this place excellent excellent excellent! The duck fritter appetizer, salmon and shrimp pasta dinners were outstanding. Best prepared piece of salmon I have had in a while. The staff are all friendly, cordial. Always good to see Kevin and get his wine recommendations. We have always liked Logan and it continues to improve. The waiter was very accommodating and the food, as usual, was excellent. It's basically a seafood restaurant but there is no problem if you prefer non-seafood items, steaks etc.. An excellent and varied menu. It is quite a drive for us coming from the Ann Arbor area so we don't go too often but it's worth an occasional trip. I recommend it for fine dining! Typically we have one of their steaks, but this time opted for the burger, mine with the truffle fries and my husband's with the fennel fries. Both were quite good. The food and service did not disappoint. The sad part of the evening was knowing that the restaurant will be moving its location to the suburbs. Having moved from the suburbs 25+ years ago, we were enjoying not always having to travel an hour to a restaurant with fantastic food and a great atmosphere.

There are also classics like dumplings, poke and oysters. You can also reserve a private dining room for special occasions, such as rehearsal dinners and business meetings. Plus, if your night out somewhere went well, you can always stop in for brunch on the weekends. Sunday 5 pm to 10 pm.
